Hey everyone! Today's GWRS (Girls Who Run Sh*t) feature is Miranda from the blog Letsgetflashy. I am so excited to be sharing this interview with you guys! For some time I have been obsessing over Miranda's Instagram and I finally decide to contact her for an interview! Miranda's blog is a place for her to share her inspiration and document her personal style.I was immediately drawn to her style because it wasn't like anything I have ever seen before.

What is your name and where are you from?
My name is
Miranda, I’m 22 years old and I’m from Paris, France. I’ve been living in New
York for the past 4 years to study fashion design at Pratt Institute in
Brooklyn.
How would you describe your personal style?
I never
like describing my style, it’s a mix of everything I like and I pull
inspiration from literally anything ! But I’ll try and describe it in a few
works: eccentric, 90’s, colorful, goth/punk..?
How did you start blogging?
I started
blogging in 2009 during my high school years. I was unhappy in school and
needed a way to escape from all the high school drama ! When I started my blog,
I didn’t have much in mind, it was mostly an only journal where I could post
things and people would’t judge me or make fun of me. It slowly took off and I
took an interest in fashion blogging, documenting my style everyday was
something I liked doing, especially for my blog.
Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?
I wasn’t
really sure until recently but I would love to start my own brand. Aside from
blogging, I’m a designer and I absolutely love making clothes. It was hard at
first, fashion is such a difficult environment but I just don’t see myself
doing anything else !

What advice would you give to those who might want to start
their own blog?
There are
a lot of blogs out there, try and make yours as unique and special as possible
! You want to show « you » and not someone else!
What is your idea of being successful?
Right now
I wouldn’t consider myself successful, I just graduated college and basically
haven't even started my career yet! But I guess with my blog, I feel that I’ve
succeeded into inspiring younger girls, to show them that no matter how stupid
and mean people are, you should always dress the way you want and be who you
want to be. I get emails from some of my readers and it always warms my heart,
I guess in a way, I’ve managed to inspire a couple people !
What motivates you?
Everything
motivates me ! I hate sitting around and doing nothing, I love discovering new
things, learning about new brands, designers,music it inspires me ! I know I’m
only in my early 20’s but I feel like I was 7 years old a minute ago.. life
goes so fast and it scares me sometimes. I always tell myself live is short and
you should life it the way you want it to be. (I know this sounds cheesy but
I’m serious !!)
Who are some of your favorite bloggers?
My fave
bloggers, I would say my friend Zoe from girlwiththeflower.com she’s
so cool and amazingly talented. I love how nothing is too much for her, more is
more !!
